DESCRIPTION:ONLINE  \n\n\n\nParticipants will learn about the importance of being able to recognize body language cues in forensic interviews and to what extent they happen subconsciously. We will discuss how body language cues may be dependent on a child’s age\, culture\, and experiences. Participants will learn neutral interview statements that can be made when seeing certain body language cues with different age groups. Lastly\, we discuss subconscious interviewer body language and the possible implications this body language could have on the child being interviewed.Throughout the training\, we will discuss case examples looking at prominent body language cues. \n\n\n\nThis will be held via zoom. SUMMARY:2026 - September 16  - Interviewing Children with Problematic Sexual Behaviors
DESCRIPTION:This will be held virtually – Link will be sent out the week of the training  \n\n\n\nREGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED FOR THIS EVENT \n\n\n\nChildren exhibiting problematic sexual behaviors may be referred for a forensic interview. CAC forensic interviewers whose mission is to interview children about potential maltreatment they have experienced and not as offenders find themselves balancing their mandate with the goals of investigators and concerned parents. This training will provide information to help forensic interviewers distinguish normative from problematic sexual behavior in children\, identify potential contributing factors to the behavior\, dispel common misconceptions about these behaviors and children\, and have a more robust and evidence-informed response to these cases. Interview adaptations and recommendations will be provided. \n\n\n\nThis training is recommended for forensic interviewers who have developed some comfort and flexibility with the continuum of questioning strategies as well as the phases of a forensic interview.

DESCRIPTION:Registration for 2026 ChildFirst Indiana training is now open! We have new updates regarding training: \n\n\n\n\nRegistration is now done at childfirstindiana.org. This will redirect you to the new coalition website.\n\n\n\nWe are now able to accept major credit cards for payment at the time of registration!\n\n\n\nAll three training dates are available to choose from. This year training will be available:\n\nFebruary 9 – 13\n\n\n\nJune 8 – 12\n\n\n\nSeptember 21 – 25\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAdditionally\, anyone who has previously attended and successfully completed ChildFirst but would like to attend protocol day (Tuesday of ChildFirst week of training)\, can now sign up on the same site.  \n\n\n\nPlease be sure to share this information with your MDT partners.
