- You should be comfortable in court.
- Just like your school, sometimes it can be cold or hot in the room, so bring a jacket or sweater.
- You don’t have to be dressed up in a tie or a dress, unless you want to.
- There are some things you shouldn’t wear, like shorts, flip flops, torn clothes, or offensive shirts.
- That shirt with the funny image? If you can’t wear it to school, don’t wear it to court.
- Jeans are cool, and so are skirts as long as they’re at least an inch or two from your knee.
- Be aware that you will go through security at the courthouse. So just know that any jackets, large belts, jewelry, and even shoes may be checked. Security is there for you and everyone to be safe, not because you have done anything wrong. Everyone goes through security!
