February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. Nationally, one in ten high school students (10.3%) experienced physical dating violence in the past year, and 10.4 percent experienced sexual dating violence in the past year. In 2011, 11.3 percent of Indiana high school students reported that they had been purposely hit, slapped or physically hurt by their boyfriends or girlfriends.
